Rick is a Road Ranger. He drives a Road Ranger car and has received special Road Ranger training.
Rick knows how to help traffic merge. He knows how to help protect pedestrians, runners & cyclists from drivers by "blocking". He knows when to slow down and when to speed up. And when to stop.
Rick knows the streets, roads, and highways near Forest Gully very well.
He knows school and church hours. He knows about local events and current construction. Rick knows the usual trouble spots on the highways. He listens to the weather forecast on the radio.

And Rick knows how to contact police and emergency personnel when the unfortunate happens.
Rick works as a Road Ranger every other afternoon. He is paid as a public employee and is also sponsored by insurance companies: after all, fewer deaths and fewer accidents mean lower insurance rates.
