Dear Elizabeth:
Who knew the race in the park would really be no contest ?
The officers did; and so did the horses.
Our after-coffee stroll found us in the park, where our police horses happened to be exercising.
What majestic creatures !
And you know me: full of beans, I just had to challenge them to a race.
I had no illusions of winning. I just didn't realize how badly I'd lose. Are they ever fast !
I'm not sure if you were chuckling as I walked back, but I wouldn't blame you if you were.
Believe it or not, that's also the first time I've touched a horse. You?
Time to go. It was a fun race. I only wish you were there to see me lose.
Till next time…
Yours truly,
Edward
