A friend came back from LA, talking about 30 lanes of highway.
That's just crazy.
Locally, a proposed highway expansion would likely decimate a village along the route.
That's just crazy.
Rather than continually expanding our highways to accommodate more traffic, what about reducing the traffic to suit the roads we already have?
One major step, methinks:
Work where you live, live where you work.
Wouldn't that cut down on a lot of daily traffic ?
Wouldn't that cut down on oil consumption?
Wouldn't that cut down on your own stress levels ?
Wouldn't that give you more personal time ?
Make it so :-)
At the same time, start growing and building more things locally again.
But if you like to be stuck in traffic... well...
